Smile Restoration

Having a pleasing smile is a huge confidence booster and can have a significant positive influence on your overall appearance. Not all of us are lucky enough to have a naturally beautiful smile that attracts a lot of compliments. Oral issues like cavities, teeth discoloration, damaged or worn out teeth, gum diseases, malocclusion, etc., can ruin the aesthetics of the smile and make you feel too conscious of your facial appearance when you socialize with people.

Sometimes, patients could be suffering from multiple oral issues due to ignoring dental consultations for a prolonged time. In such instances, just one or two dental procedures would not suffice to bring the smile back to its ideal condition. Hence, we offer smile restoration to address all your oral cosmetic conditions and give you a smile that you’ve always desired for.

What procedures are involved in smile restoration?

Teeth whitening: The stains on the teeth can make your smile appear dull. This can lead to a lot of embarrassment and keep you feeling conscious of yourself. In most cases, teeth discoloration is caused due to smoking cigarettes, chewing tobacco, eating colored foods and beverages, etc. The teeth can be whitened using a hydrogen peroxide whitening gel. We offer in-office whitening, take-home whitening kits, and laser teeth whitening.

Ceramic restorations: Dental restorations made from tooth-colored ceramic are widely used to restore the teeth to their ideal condition (aesthetics, contour, and functionality). They are bonded to the teeth using dental adhesives. Some of the popular restorations are crowns, veneers, bridges, inlays, onlays, etc.

Cavity treatment: Cavities are caused due to the erosive action of the microbes in the mouth that get deposited on the teeth in the form of plaque and tartar. They erode the upper enamel and decay the underlying dentin, putting the tooth at serious risk. We treat cavities by removing the decay and filling them using filling material. The filling would either be made from dental-grade ceramic or composite resin.

Orthodontic treatment: The teeth may appear out of alignment due to various causes such as improper growth of teeth, faulty oral appliances, misshapen jawbone, wider jawbone arch, etc. Aligning them appropriately makes the smile appear more pleasing and enables you to clean them more effectively while brushing and flossing.

Gum contouring: Gum diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis decay the soft gum tissues and make them appear quite shabby. The gums could look too red or dark due to decay, bleeding, and discharge of pus. We get rid of the decayed tissues using laser therapy and remove the adhered tartar deposits from the tooth roots using ultrasonic scaling. Further, healthy tissues will be grafted to the receded region by extracting them from the palate.

Apart from these, we also offer other services like composite bonding, inlays, onlays, etc.
